Nice one, you got the DVR with it as well, looked well packaged, shame about the dent.

I know he said dont mod it, but i really would be tempted to change the clevis`s for ones you know wont give.
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

Will be interesting to see this develop, Whats you initial thoughts on build quality mate?

Sheldon Holy

Cool, but I just really hate that plastic fuselage :(

FPVSteve

Plastic fuselage = instant cracks with a "positive" landing... weird choice of material, especially since FPV landings can be quite tricky sometimes.

Not sure what I feel about this plane - looks the business, but... form over function?

Sheldon Holy

Steve,

I believe this isn't that crappy brittle plastic you get on kids toys and the like, but it is a more flexible one that is quite heavy (especially when you need the strength to make a plane out of it) and instead crumples and creases. So if you had a bad crash, you could fix most foam planes but this will just be squashed and crumpled. Unfixable.

Funky Diver

unless it's the "heat it with and air gun and pull the crumples out" plastic... in which case, cool

Ok here's the build, sorry about the quality as my vimeo account has reached it's limit this week, also the wing retaining screws are rubbish and need addressing by Lanyu hobbies

Good vid mate, look forward to seeing the maiden and also with fpv gear fitted.

g.collins

Its rely coming on, now all you need is a break in this weather to test it out, good Luke withe the maiden.
regards G :)

Looks good Simon, the dog bit was funny.

Looks like the weak oint of the wing could do with a strip of reinforced tape to cure it. What dont you like about the retaining bolts, bad heads ?

Looks good, nice video.

This plane is no good for me though, the 2m wingspan is just too much for transporting in the car and I really couldn't be bothered having to screw them on every time I flew  :+

Your right I think Steve, It'll be ok for the first few times because of the new toy, but think unless you can fit in a car it will be a bit of a pain, it dont help having the cheapest screws in the world in the kit, I just had to swap for Allen screws, does the job in half the time, still a pain though

Forgot to add..

Even if I could be bothered, surely the wear and tear over time would take its toll? Unscrewing, screwing, Unscrewing, screwing ... 100 times, I wonder how long it would be before the threads started getting loose?

Oh well. Ideal if you have a van tho!  ;D
