Hi, spent Christmas up in Scotland and took the opportunity to fly the Phantom 2, with gimbal & Gopro 4B, up in the glens and mountains.  Also a chance to really try out the helical antenna from bignose13, which worked amazingly!

Spent a while editing this, and any feedback would be really appreciated!

Enjoy..

Beautiful stuff! The more I see from the new gopro the more impressed I am, looks like DSLR quality! On youtube anyway! Looks like it was pretty windy for some of those shots as well, nicely done. Glencoe is on my flying list for this year for sure.

Very nicely put together - with some stunning footage, nice one.

Aside from the slight fisheye its getting closer than ever when viewing through youtube! Very impressive considering how much easier and cheaper it is to lift a gopro compared to a DSLR.

You can see the wind ripping across the loch, and that's with the footage slowed down!  It was gusting at about 40 - 50mph, and the quad only has about 33mph max.  It was getting blown off the mountain and only way to save it was to crash land it!  Was worth it for that shot though.

Thanks marcin. Ha ha, yes the GP fisheye lens does look different.  It's easily removed with software, but for some reason I actually like it.

GP vs DSLR - gotta agree, if I had a larger quad or hex/octocopter I would be using a DSLR.  But for now, the Gopro is pretty damn good.
