Strange
on the video it show the firmware as 1.5.and has a fault

yet on the Feiyu Tech website they on have up to 1.4 fw for the osd

he had a fault with 1.5 which doesnt look like it released yet, im probably gonna hang on, you?

In one of Ali Shanmao's videos where he demonstrates the FY31AP in his skywlaker, he points out an issue related to the 4 pin connector cable.  Not sure if this is related in anyway to your problem Ian.

Ah that`s handy Tim, so if my two wire 4 pin connector turns up with one end with white in pin 3 it needs swapping to pin 4 on both :) Cool :)

I dont have my AP yet, its on its way, but found a few issues that`s why I posted them up

I just watched the videos from ali and he explains that the FY31 does not control the throttle. Why is that? I understand you use the failsafe for pre setting the throttle but I dont understand why the Fy31 then has a throttle plug.
Also, am I right in guessing that the ezUHF has that failsafe feature?

Been looking at this as it looks quite well priced as a rth+OSD combination. Question, can the locking up bug result in a crash?

My biggest fear with RTH is a lockout and crash. Has anyone thought about putting a switch between the servos or is that opening up a load of hassle and problems itself?

The FY31AP does control the throttle Mark, but like the DOSD good results vary, so I like others have left throttle control to me or set on failsafe to above cruise for no nasty surprises

Yes EZUHF has failsafe setting

Yes the locking up bug can result in a crash, but the V1.2 firmware has that solved "apparently"

Ali`s mod about swapping the white cable on the UART lead is wrong now BTW, I did it, the system didn`t work ( OSD did not communicate with FY31 ) I put it back to where is was and it worked fine

Paul`s FY has always worked, now they seem to have solved the software problem I expect this to do the same now................ hopefully :)

Thanks for clearing that up. I do have one more question - in the video Ali says you need 2 3 pos. switches. I only have one on my Futaba T7CP. Do I need to look into getting a new TX?

I only have 1 3 position switch on my Turnigy, you can do one of the following :

Use your 3 position switch and mix a 2 position switch to another to make another 3 position

Use a 3 position switch and a two and loose functions you are never going to use. I will never use Waypoint Navigation, so whats the point in having it there in the first place I thought. So my FY31AP does, Normal flight - Stabilized on 2 position switch and Normal flight - Auto Circle Mode - Return To Home on the 3 position.

With the Turnigy though I have more flexibility, say as some point I want rid of the Auto Circle Mode and replace with Waypoint Navigation I could, or mix another switch in like the first option and have them all

While we are at the FY31 - I have one UBEC currently that powers my receiver. Can I use the same one for running the FY31 or does it need to be a seperate UBEC?

No the FY31 gets its power from the Aileron servo connection from the rx

I use my FY31 with Stabilization switchable, flight modes : RC / ACM / RTH

So I use a 3 way switch to chose RC mode, Auto Circle or Return To Home and a 2 way switch for stabilization. My mixes are ER9X mixes so might not match stock Turnigy mixes but Ill post them up.

Is that what you are after or using a 3 & 2 way switch to activate the 4 flight modes ?
