FY-31 problem

Hi Guys,
Just been putting a FY-31 together to use it for a new project (FY been used in a, now retired, X-5)  but it does NOT work as advertised. The GPS is indicating satellite lock (flashing red light) but the FY's red light stays OFF  :( Any suggestions......

I know them really well, but not sure - details are a bit scant.

Starting at the top - is it wired traditionally using the supplied cables...? How about the OSD is it working...?

Yep wiring is correct (Fy wires), have two years experience with the FY-31, still fly one in my X-8. So I was quite surprised when it did not what it was supposed to do...I had a Hornet connected as well and that showed a sat count of 0. So the red light not burning on the FY was correct if you look at it that way.   

But not happy with it  :(

If you have experience with it then you'll know as well as I do. All I know is that they do not tolerate reversed or duplicated voltage inputs. Can you confirm?

So then the Hornet and in turn the GPS is powered by the 31...? Or is it the other way around...? Is the hornet supplying volrts to your cam and vtx okay?

I will check on it all again tomorrow. I am pretty sure all was correctly connected (spent some time on checking, re-checking and re-re-checking all the wires), hence the fact that I was really surprised that it was not performing the way I am used to. I did not connected a cam or VTX, the Horned was directly wired to a monitor.

Looked at it again today, reconnected it all and fiddled with the wiring and what didn't happened yesterday (or what I missed) happened today, the RED FY light blinked twice and stopped....wiring pblem  :+ Made an new GPS – FY cable and now it works as advertised, HAPPY  :P
