Do Cyclops Storm current sensors get hot?

I would ideally like to bury the current sensor from my Cyclops Storm in the fuz of my 'zFalcon' but just wanted to check first that would be OK and that it doesn't get too hot for this?

That's something I've never thought to check to be honest.

I would imagine that it does heat up though.
You could always bench test it for a few minutes covered in some foam.
And then check it.

I've cramped mine into a bixler before with a 2 lipo setup with only.
And never had any problems with it.

I guess it depends how much current is going through it, and what rating it is.

If it's 100A  and you're pulling max 25A I'd be surprised if it got hot enough for be concerned with. May also be dependent on the run-time.

there are a few ways of soldering these sensors... some solder the battery connectors directly to the pads, others solder "pigtails" to it (battery connectors soldered to wire, wire soldered to current sensor)

either way is fine, but make sure you use plenty of solder... you want the surface area conducting electricity to be the same as if not more than the thickness of the wires from the battery, otherwise they will heat up.
