Just for info the new x4r is out now  with smart port

I'm guessing Chris wants the cppm output of the d4r

So which is the 5.8 vtx to go for then? im confused. some of you have had dodgy ones, which ones will work with my fatshark goggles?

Loopdreams

Well I too am happy with the Aomway 200mW, seems perfect for mini-quads at least.

CurryKitten

Positive reports on the Aomway, whilst the Skyzone has varying degrees of QC to say the least.  Baggood are at least sending me a new one, see if that's crap as well.  On the positive side, no issues with running it on the Fatshark channels

Been using the 500 mW Aomway  on my Bix since last week, works fine though I've  not gone far with it.

On my miniquad (which almost never flies more than a hundred feet high) there is absolutely no discernible difference between the 200mW Aomway and the 600mW Immersion it replaced.  The signal seems to degrade at about the same distances at the same flying site.

Correct, plus I don't want the hassle of reflashing stuff at the moment.

A mixed bag (or indeed box) today

In it we have a Multistar 4a 3s lipo, to try and extend the flight times of my Bixler 2, a new Bixler 2 canopy, this is for all my night flying setup to go into, and then I can just swap it around.  A 10a blue ESC as I blew up another, and it seemed odd to have 3 kicking around... not that I'm quite sure if I'll use it.  Some 5030 props - only 1 set, so good for 10 mins of flying on the 250.  A prop adapter for the Bix 2, as I'm not convinced the existing one is straight, and it's an odd size.  Finally a quanum power distro board for my new quad so it'll also put out a 12v and an adjustable voltage whilst I can run it on 4s
