Door has literally just gone, and a package with this case inside it arrived

(quad not included, but that's what's going to go into it)

I was considering putting it in like this

So I could easily fit in fatsharks and other stuff, but props just touch the case - which means no foam padding... kind of defeating the idea of the box.  Unless anyone is telling me they do it this way and it's all golden, I'll orientate the other way so there's lots of cushioning

I'll take a snap of mine later and show you how mines orientated. I did it length ways and another tip is to use some spare plucked foam to make a little bridge for it to sit on. That way it rests on the props and the bridge and there is space underneath the quad for cables.

There's still space for 7 inch screen, fatsharks, antennas and spare props. Assuming it's the same case I got!

That would be cool - cheers.  I'd already thought it might be a useful thing to stick some foam in to support the props.  Very interested to see how you arranged yours.  Good deal I thought for the price, and they sandwiched the case in  a box between another two pieces of eggshell shaped foam, so plenty of spare :)

Try turning the props 45 degrees.  :D

I use the same case for my GS. I feel like you should be able to get the fat sharks in there with that quad and keep the foam padding.

Here's how I did my case with a 250 quad. There's also goggles plus cables, spare props and tools, 7 inch monitor and cables under the quad which is supported with 3layers of the removed foam, stuck in with uhu por. I started with the premise about what did I really need to protect (ie most expensive and then tried to create room around them.

Also just in... Some nylon spacers to replace the landing gear on a qav250. Those things literally drop off or break all the time and I could see it getting expensive replacing them!

Levitating landing gear, is this the future???!!

CurryKitten

First pass, I put the quad all the way to the bottom, let me keep the Mobius on... it's deep :)

I may raise this up, but I've nothing else really to carry in that as the cables and DVR are in the Tarnis case along with the radio itself, so after that it's just lipos

elmattbo

If only the rest of the quad flew so well!
