A lump of Ardupilot stuff came today, I'm really quite excited about playing with this and understanding how it works :)

BlueFlyer

I was really tempted with the micro HK pilot stuff from hobbyking, but then remembered how stressed out I got the last 3 times I tried my hand at ardupilot lol :)

CurryKitten

I quite enjoy the messing about getting things working and understanding them.  Also helps that I have lots of nicely flying things at the moment as well, so I'm not held up by it

Finally the £98 banggood taranis arrives (plus £30 shipping and duty!).

Well it arrived more like the other week; I fitted it with a home brew foam face mask which is a perfect fit.

I've cut the foam so that it allows the doms to tilt forward a bit and with the weight resting equally on my cheek bones and the bridge of my nose to allow warm air out and for comfort. The foam came from the Quanum Venture packaging and just white silicone to hold it all.
I took a punt on the Nexwave 2.4G RX to work with an old 2.4G VTX I bought from Range Video about 6 years ago and sure enough it worked which saved me a few quid...

I'm really pleased with these after my trusty VR1400 which will be for passengers.

The foam is 10mm thick which means my eye lashes are not wiping the lens as much and with a bit more tweaking I'll be done. ;D

New C2 lens mobius and FPV cable from banggood UK :)

very happy with their service.

Now, if only I can work out how to do this white balance lock thingy ma jig

Loopdreams

I can't fathom how you are meant to know what you are locking the exposure and white balance to without being able to see anything.

A 3S JST-XH Balance Plug to Male JST Lead Adapter (to power the video tx) and a SMA Male to RP-SMA Female Adapter (to convert my video rx antenna) for my cheap little ghetto FPV set-up.

All seems to work, just need some time to install it on a plane and test fly it.
