After flames came out of 2 x 2200 lipos on Friday, I decided that was an end to my use or parallel charging board, so bought this new 4 port charger

Seems to have a setting that says "Test LIXX internal resistance" (which my old Imax b6 didn't) not sure what the numbers mean though (just thinking out loud... or typing out loud anyway, don't worry I'll google it)

I had one of those Turnigy chargers Wayne, couldn`t get on with the small fiddly buttons. The stop  button on port 3 never worked so I ended up getting a refund from HKG.

Well, there's nothing in the manual, and there's nothing in other manuals that should do internal resistance measurement.  So after much search around, I found some info on a heli forum (source is here http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=233111)

In that thread, a guy had done some testing and come up with his own conclusions about the total mOhm resistance per pack (i.e add the individual cell resistances together).  His own thoughts were that -

a) Packs that are as good as new: between 0 and 5 milliOhm/cell
b) Packs that have been used dozens of times, but still feeling fairly good: between 5 and 10 milliOhm/cell
c) Packs that have been used even more, and start to feel weak: between 10 and 20 milliOhm/cell
d) Packs that almost won't hold your heli in the air anymore: over 20-25 milliOhm/cell

So it seems like your milage will vary depending on what you use your lipos for, of course, I've no idea how accurate these readings are, but I think they work as a good comparison tool.  So you know which lipos are better than others.  Also if you one that you feel is starting to sag, then have a look at it's reading and you can use this as a benchmark for when others are on their way out.

I had a quick go using a year old lipo (2200 3s 20c) that had been well taken care of.  I've always kept it in storage charge, and flown in a plane where it doesn't pull massive amps and lands at 12.5v minimum

So pretty happy with that one.  I then compared it to a lipo from 2012, which is another 2200 3s (25c this time) I used to fly this on in a parallel pair on my quad so has suffered more load.  I know it sags, so this looked like -

Yep - pretty knackered.

A pair of Multistar 4000mah 3S batts from Hobbyking.
Some replacement headbands and battery's for my fatsharks from head in the clouds.

The batterys are 1800mah and have a handy led tester on the top of them as well as being a better shape.

Couple of bits from the Banggood review fairy today.  Did Boscam become Eachine or something... looks exactly like the Boscam gear (with same model numbers) but says Eachine on the box.

They wanted to send me the TS832 as well, which as far as I could see was exactly the same as this (TS835) it's just that the TS835 can take a higher input voltage - seemed a bit pointless, so just going to look at the (newer ?) 835

Where did you get one of those? I need one pronto, my older fatshark batteries are completely dead.

This seems to be the only place with any in stock at the moment.

I got mine from http://www.headinthecloudsrc.co.uk/index.php but they seem to be out of stock at the moment  :(
