Been looking at these cameras.  Definitely be interested to see what you make of it.

Got some lipos charged, so should venture out with a quad tonight to see how the footage turns out.  On just messing around with it in the house, I can tell you the screen is a great addition.  No more wondering how much battery is left, of what resolution it's recording at

Oh, yes...Id like one of those Firefly HDs.....They look good value too....Are you going to do a review Mr Kitten..?

Of course... see previous comment re: video whoring :)  I've just filmed a quick look at it and the menus, and it's on the quad now ready to film something more exciting

Lol....I just pressed the Bangood button on one...Couldnt wait...It looks like a great little Camera....My only gripe is, is that it doesnt appear to have a clip in mount like the Mobius...?

I watched Bill Halleys review....it looks good to me 1080p at 60fps....plus 4K if you want it...and not a drag master like the GoPro...:)

Yes I agree, and I've already mentioned that in my entertaining and mumbling voiceover.  No mounting hardware and no part of the camera to attach a tether to (handy if it flies off your model).  On the good news, the base of it is very flat, and so easy to attach velcro to, and because the buttons are recessed it means you can strap it on without causing any issues.

Might be crap at taking video though... you've gone and jumped in too early !

Nah, I dont think so, for the money, its a bit of a steal....expect to see a clip in mount soon...I will just make my own meantime...

Runcam2 HD does 1080p at 60fps... but no 4k.

I don't see the point in 4K unless it's available at minimum of 30fps. Even then, my computer isn't good enough to process it.

stevec

The only advantage for with 4K is that you can zoom into it and still render in 1080 giving a sort of zoom. But like you in real terms I see no point in 4K yet. I don't have any 4K screens and it is just a bandwidth hog. Give it a couple of years...

Nice Ian, Dragonlink is one I havent tried yet... would be interesting to hear how it gets on compared to others you've tried.

shame about crossfire... with all the hype surrounding it I'm baffled as to how it has failed to perform for you.

I suppose, as an outsider it still appears to me like a work in progress... so many different "modes" and frequencies and power settings... you know me... I like a plug n play "just works" system with little to no faffing around

Dillwhacker

Love my Dragons.
Don't forget to tune / calibrate the receivers....
LOL Grandmothers, eggs etc.

This is the Reaacc rx5808-pro-diversity set.  Basically it's a cheap copy of the LaForge, but different rx components (I believe) but same open source firmware.

It already feels a bit odd in the box with a beeper you may/may not want to solder in, and that horrible loose ribbon cable.

Reason I went for this though, is that I thought the separate module would allow better antenna placement - helical one side, and skew the other, and if I didn't want/need diversity where I was flying, I could remove the second vrx to save battery life and still have a nice 40 channel rx with a little loed on it.

Well, that's the theory, I'll find out just how usable it is now :)

Aha, I was looking at these but wasn't sure. I hope you are going to do one of your video reviews?
