One of these dinky little things....

And rather frustratingly, I didn't get chance to play with it, other than have a fondle of it, and whack it on charge.

Pesky wedding anniversaries getting the way of toy time....

Andy

Nice. Be interested in your thoughts on it. Such a shame there is no hdmi out

Andy Sayle

Indeed.  I can sort of see their reasoning, as they are going to be releasing their own HD goggles at some point in the nearish future.  I'll do a thread/review type thing on it too if people are interested..  So far, I'm impressed!
Duct Tape and a Hammer.  A cure for all known mechanical problems.

Brucey

Yeah it would be good to get a review from a 'normal' person. Not a YouTube star....

..........
The only way I can see to get the effect of goggles, is to drop your smartphone in a set of VR housing (A la google cardboard, or samsung gear VR).

Andy

Seems a good idea - until whilst in flight you want to use one of the 'touch' sliders / buttons on the phone screen !!!!!
You learn something new every day.

Did you order yours direct from DJI or a UK supplier Andy?

Ordered one through Firstpersonview and they are saying into November for their deliveries... :(

Runcam Swift

Would have liked the new Runcam Eagle (too pricy), but settled for the Swift.

This little camera has so many desirable features and Runcam have made the effort to make their product complete.

1. The mounting bracket locks and tilts just where you want it and has threaded brass inserts.

2. The feed cable is a Servo 3 wire type with soft silicon coating, ideal if you have pan and tilt.

3. Separate two wire joystick Menu interface you can just plug in and adjust with the Camera installed.

4. Nice box with instructions and even some spare screws and an alternate mount for Mini Multi fans.

Source: E-Bay, UK supplier, about £28.

:vulture:

It is a nice camera definitely comparable to the HS1177.
Whilst it says ok with 4s it won't handle 4s high voltage lipo's as I found out to my cost....

"impulsive Sundy afternoon.... Ranger EX V2

"arrived 18:47 this evening"

So far so good, it looks like there's a lot of changes from what I've seen on YouTube these wheels are now soft 120mm baloon . I'll try a write up and video when I get some time.

My Vector arrived today courtesy of Blueflyer, royal mail special delivery. It seems Postman Pat was on his usual form and decided to ignore the note on my door advising to leave with any neighbour (I live in a cul de sac) or leave in my safe place ....

Thanks Pat ..... I hope privatisation works out for you! Muppet.

Glad you got it mate.

I do like the composite fuselages, those Rangers are nice - can you still sling a gopro under the nose (I think they have a mounting bracket moulded in place)?

BlueFlyer

Taranis X9D+

Finally I've got a decent TX, I've championed the Turnigy 9x, the 9XR and more recently the 9XR Pro.... they're still good txs for people on a budget, but I'm absolutely blown away with this Taranis after years of Turnigy ownership.

The fuselage is super strong, the kit comes with the plastic dome which is crystal clear so as to entice you to buy their gimbal and housing. It's easy to fit any gimbal that's the size of a Tarot or smaller by just drilling through to the ply plate mounting.

BlueFlyer

Where did you buy it from? (The Ranger EX V2)

New part for my washing machine turned up today....

Yay, I don't smell like a tramp anymore! ;D
