At last my Eachine EV100 goggles Black edition have arrived.

However I thought that wearing contact lenses I'd be able to see fine with these but I find that when I look through them with my contact lenses in I see two screens. They don't converge into one. Anyone else have this problem?

I've cut away at the foam to make it thin although it's not as comfy now and I may get a little light leakage around the edge. Still not been able to try them out on a flight though. I may need to retro fit some diopter lenses in there somehow.

Lastly I managed to pick up yet another £11 customs fee on this but I only paid £70 for them on a deal.

Had to replace my 25-year-old soldering iron.

That's what I have. Initially loved it. But now it's 2 years old and onto iron number 3. The iron keeps failing all the time ( heater blows. )
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

I wear contacts and have never had this problem with any goggles I've used. Admittedly, I've not tried these ones in particular but I am struggling to think of why the fact you wear contacts would cause this (?)

Yes I found it odd that when I took off my glasses I could almost see clearly one screen. But when I went and put in my contact lenses no matter how hard I tried to adjust it I could see two screens side by side (with a little overlap in the middle). I wonder if I just have odd eyes and can never use this style of goggle? I'd like to try out others now out of interest. I don't mind taking a punt on goggles that cost me £80 but if I was spending over £200 I'd want to know they worked for me!

Do they have IPD adjustment? Could be that?

Thanks Ian for the heads up, I've earmarked, I'd have thought that the element would be the part to replace but at £9.99 it's quiker to buy a new iron instead.

A nice little package (mostly from AKK) arrived today containing one of their Omnibus F4 boards, the FX2 VTX which is similar to another I tested before with smart audio support, but handily in the normal quad stack spacing, and a few skews (as the VTX is RP-SMA)

I also got 3 little LC filters from Banggood, as I've got a few quads with annoying noise issues (especially the Eachine Wizard X220s - so want to see if I can get that to be half decent)

I am surprised you need to wear your lenses as there is supposed to be independent focus and pd on these goggles. The  double image issue has been mentioned a few times on another forum thread. I believe it's a combination of the pd and eye distance from the lens. You can get a similar effect when using either cheap binoculars or expensive ones that are badly adjusted. FYI the lens prescription distance for bino goggles is 7 feet so for me that's the distance from my sofa to the TV.
