Another Emax 250 - OSDoge Equipped

Just finished building my 250 size:

Emax 250 Carbon Frame
Emax 2204 2300KV
Emax 12A ESC
Emax 800TVL CMOS Cam
Nano-Tech 2200mah 3S
Full Naze32
OSDoge
Fatshark 250mw 5.8





Love the Naze/OSDoge stack!

Will re-work the VTx position when I get a pigtail to put it behind the cam, then I can run a GoPro on top. 

Not sue if the CMOS cam is the best idea, I think some people say CCD is better in certain light conditions.  We'll see.  I quite like the stand that it's on as I can tilt it easily, it adds a bit of weight though and I'm not sure you can affix the lens without it.  Not trying to save weight too much at the mo.

I will add LEDs added on once I've bought some.

AUW is 589 grams without props and GoPro.

Errr, maybe lol.  Didn't deliberately do it honest.

Will maiden tomorrow hopefully and post up some DVR footage as I want to get a GoPro lens protector.

those emax 2204 motors are wicked - ive just started running mine on 4s and they dont even get warm

Good to know!  I've seen a few people start to run 4S on 250 size.

I had also read that the 1806 motors were actually preferable to the 2204 - I think the Immersion Vortex is using them? But to be honest I'm not too fussed about squeezing every ounce of performance out of them.

I'm still needing to get PIDs tuned.  Had a few FPV flights around the garden but it's not really dialled in at all.

There's a review for the qav250 which talks about using lower kv motors. The guy who did that said that higher kv was better particularly on 3s as the higher head speed helped stopped spin outs and gave better punch.

Ive just swapped out the stock emax simon series esc rated at 1-3cell for emax blheli series 1-4cell and it screams now like a bitch on 4cell - must have restricted it somhow.
