Been working on this one for a little while.

Its a scale model - called an Ogar.   Well suited to FPV as it ia a pusher prop.

I have a pan tilt roll unit up top.  This then feeds down to a cyclops storm, and 600mw vtx.

The wing has been modified to include spoilers to help with landing.

The antenna is located on the bottom of the model.  Half buried in foam.

I should hopefully have it finished this weekend.  Just a few bits to solder up.

The model itself has had mixed reviews.   Allot of people in the FPV community say that it has a bad tip stall.  However. .. regular LOS flyers say its great.  My suspicion is that the FPV guys are overloading the model.  Its designed to take a 2200mah pack, and to fly slow.

With this in mind I have avoided overloading it with batteries.   It could fit them, but hey..  its meant to be a thermal ship.  Not a log range over bloated battery shifter!

Looks lovely. As to tip stall.. only 1 way to find out  :)

It looks nice, but oddly proportioned imo , the front end looks huge :)
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

indeed.

The full size aircraft is a tandem.   2 people side by side.

But makes install of gear really easy.  :)

Maybe Saturday.

I have a few bits to solder up tomorrow pm/night..

Then should be good to fly.

I was out flying with Rob yesterday and saw this go. Have to say its a really lovely plane... Looks like full size in the air.

Also The 3 axis pan tilt cam and vario on the plane/Jeti Rx system makes it a really nice Thermalling FPV experience.

I'm hoping to get a similar setup going on my TechPod/ Taranis which I just got! for some lazy Thermalling action this summer!

In the youtube clip... at around 3:30 I hit a thermal.  Very quickly started to gain height!

Ok...   am toying with selling my Ogar.

I have it well dialed in... so would sell it with all kit excluding rc receivers and battery.

I am thinking very seriously about doing myself a 3.7m soarer.

So...  any offers?

I would sell it with:

Model
Esc
Camera
3 axis camera
600mw 32ch vtx
Cyclops breeze

I  ant post it...   so collection from  Guildford.

Open to offers in the region of £200

Sounds like a bit of a bargain for that money. Should be a nice relaxing model for the summer.

Very nice maiden Rob, she flew really well :)

2.6 m , would consider it but :

Do I need a lorry to transport it
Do I need 2 km runway for takeoff
Do I need 2 km runway to land it
If not taking off from runway how many people needed to lift it off the ground
What size hanger I need to store it

Otherwise I am temped ...
