I have my Storm in a Falcon, all setup and checked the surfaces do what they should do etc, so happy with things there.

However,  If I have the Storm in manual flight mode, then the Servos are fine, but as soon as I pop it into AP mode, the two wing servos start to chatter, not by a lot but definitely there.  I have disconnected the elevon push rods, in case it was causing a problem but still the same.  This is all on the bench.

Is this normal ?

EDIT: meant to say PA mode

Have you flown it in manual mode and trimmed it out.
Landed and set the centre servos in osd menu?

Could be looking for the servo centre.

Yes this is normal. It is trying to correct its course to wherever its going  :)

I had the chattering quite badly with the storm and it somtimes affected the gyros - it was caused by my 1.2 video tx and so moving the wires and twisting them pretty much solved it for me.

Plane hasnt been flown yet.  Hopefully the flight, trim and then centre will fix it :)

Do you mean you can just hear them twitching and moving a little when in any form of AP mode?

Sorry I think i should have said PA mode, doh.

You can hear them and see them slightly moving, but only in PA (stability) mode.   If I switch to manual mode they are silent and perfectly still.

So definitely a Storm "feature", I would have thought if it was wiring or VTX clashes etc, the it would do it irrespective of flight mode.  Maybe it is the trim centre that will sort it after the first trimming out flight

There is honestly nothing to fix! It does this as they will constantly adjust in PA mode in order to get an exact balance.
When my plane is working perfectly, it still does this servo movement in PA.

Ah OK, as long as it is normal.

I just assumed sitting flat on a table indoors, then there would be no need for the servos to correct any "movement".

I think it's because it doesn't have an accurate heading fix when stationary. The storm uses sequential gps fixes to plot a heading - you'll notice the heading swinging a lot on the display. Walk it across the garden and it will work out a heading and stop chattering. Or turn off heading hold and that should stop it too, in theory!

+1 to turning heading hold off - helps a bunch
