I am waiting delivery of a corona RP6S1 receiver. I am used to my spectrum RXs that tell what servo and power goes where.
The corona only has 1-6 on them. My question is what do these numbers relate to as what servos and power/ESC goes to what number.

Depends upon your tx...

but normally
1 aileron
2 elevator
3 throttle
4 rudder

Power on any - the supply lines are bus connected together.
If no spare, use a y splitter on one of the channels
Still flying up my own arse ....
And giving Bignose one up his..
Moister than an Oyster...........

And when he says channel 3 throttle that means your ESC :)

Thanks guys. The TX is a Futaba Skysport 6a. So I expect that channels 5 & 6 are for gear and flaps or what ever.

It rather depends on what transmitter you are using as all manufacturers do not use the same pulse sequence.
Power up the receiver using a suitable battery pack then plug a servo into each channel and waggle the transmitter sticks to establish what channel is what. You can plug the battery into any channel on the receiver as positive and negative (common) are the same for every channel. It's only the signal pin which is differentiates the individual channels.
As the servo pins on Corona (and some other) receivers are not gated be careful to ensure you align the battery connector correctly otherwise you could end up applying power to the signal pin. The centre pin is positive, so as long as you get this right you will be OK. Your Corona receiver will have the channel numbers marked along one side and the pin designations along the adjacent side as per marked up photo. Its an 8 channel rx but the same principle applies.
Once you have established which channel is for the ESC (throttle) you can unplug the receiver battery and continue by plugging in the ESC.
Simples.
