Matthias,
I subscribe to your YouTube feed as you do have some pretty awesome clips on there. From my point of view, you need to be a little responsible and understand the influence you have on kids who want to get into the hobby. What you don't want is someone less capable imitating you and flooding the Internet with clips that will ultimately lead to someone getting hurt or at the very least shine a negative light on what we all do. The spotlight is on FPV, so keep it creative and impressive but know not to overstep the mark.

First, thanks for your subsription! I totally understant your Point of view. But let me Show you an example of responsibility:

Is a wingsuiter responsible if some one is dumb enough buying a Suite and jumps from a mountain without any skills and Training?

Is Tareq Al Said responsible if some one without any skills buys a 3D heli and flys it directly into his Group friends watching it?

We do not think this is that critical as some one of you think. We think its time to reduce all These oversensibilitys in some cases which are totally unnecessary.

But thank you for your constructive words!

It's clear that you gave at least some thought to reducing risks (spotter, failsafe, few cars on the road etc)- but the point is that had you lost control over the bridge theres a chance you would have ploughed your plane into the windscreen of an oncoming car and caused a pretty nasty accident.

I suppose this is the case whenever someone flies over a road pulling stunts- although with a few obstacles high up and very close to you the chance of crashing is higher. However, whether it's rational or not, flying so close and in an extreme way so close to a huge national public structure attracts a disproportionate amount of negative attention and harms the hobby.

At a time when fpv is under the spotlight and we hobbyists are trying to convince lawmakers that we are a responsible bunch your video brings our hobby into disrepute and weakens our argument.

Matthias makes some good points but I have to say that I think you are missing the main point. If someone is dumb enough to buy a wingsuit and jump from a mountain he will injure or kill himself. If someone buys a 3D heli and flies it into a group of his friends watching they should have some common sense to stand well clear.
What you are doing is taking your models right up to and over completely unsuspecting people who are going about their daily business. You are putting them at risk whilst you are at no risk yourself. If there is an incident you are nowhere near and can walk away completely unharmed. The point we have been trying to make is not intended to spoil your fun, it is intended to stop your fun spoiling someone else's day. Can you not see that?

I am still amazed by the type of video and stills still being posted after all the case's that the CAA of taken to court so far,  I have no doubt flying over and around Bridges used by the general public will draw the Caa's attention in double quick time.

I am not pointing the finger but I suspect their list of people to watch out for is getting longer by the day :+

Just one accident is all it takes then the sh-- will hit the fan  :( then everybody with an iffy video or picture posted will be in the firing line for sure :(

just be sensible guys what you post and maybe we will be left alone to enjoy our Hobby :)

I've enjoy these Happy Flyers vids, I find them very entertaining but this was too close to the road for my taste. Keep the vids coming guys but a little more thought on contents please  ;)
Skyhunter, Drak, Mini Talon, Z3, Z2 and 250 Vortex. :overexcited:

I would consider keeping the dodgy videos private and share them only with a select audience... it's clear you won't stop flying in this manner, the least you can do is not draw attention to yourself whilst doing so.

FPVSteve

I thought the video was good

I can / do see that of course.

But the Point is that so many ppl. put others at so much more risk in daily cases (street workers, fabrication employees making a mistake in building some life-critical parts)....

This is no excuse. Im only trying to show that there are MUCH more other things out there you should care more than about two guys flying over a Bridge with two 1kg foamies with real less vehicles on it. The amount of "scareness" and "criticism" stands in no Dimension to other things which are much more dangerous.

Excuse me but im still not thinking that non-FPVers will see this that negative so the Hobby will be harmed in any case.

You can do or say whatever you want... Be carefull as much as you want and make everything right to Keep the Hobby as well unobtrusive and safe...

Sometime a donk will come and ruin everything by flying a DJI Thing into an Airbus Engine and we are all f*** up. This day will come.

At least we are trying to Keep things safe as possible and professional as possible. Of course not everyone will agree with that. But things like this doesn't matter in harming our Hobby in any case.

But you can rest assured. The upcoming Videos are not like that :)

Kind regards

BlueFlyer

It's not the opinion of non-fpvers in general that we care about, its the people out there who are actively attempting to get it banned completely.

This video is exactly the kind of evidence they would use to put their case towards those who have the power to make our hobby illegal.

It would be the same as if you shot video of you and your friends driving fast cars on the motorway over the speed limit late at night with hardly anyone on the road... You may say "we waited till it was late so minimal traffic was around" but the act is still dangerous, irresponsible and illegal and it is silly to not only film yourself doing it, but even more so to post it on a public website.

Hawkview

What give happy flyers or company, person the right to endanger other people not involved in the flight.
We have the privilege of using sky not the right.

Can I fly my 1kg wing into your face? don't worry I will do with a spotter and in safe, professional manner.

Videos like this just show me that the products are crap and companys need to make controversial video to sale the crap.

That will happen anyway some day. Like in Spain where you need a full pilote licence for flying an FPV aircraft....
