Hi all,

I flip flop all over the place within the RC hobby and just at the moment I am feeling the love for collective pitch.

I have a half built XJ 470 quad on the bench and I just can't get the motivation to complete it.

so for now I am scratching the itch with a blade 450x and my 180 cfx.

do any of you also have attention deficit disorder when it comes to flying models?

I think maybe doing the BNUC-s and using the AP platform for work has taken the edge off the fun of flying a bit so time for something completely different!!

I have an FPV funjet waiting on a re maiden after I balanced it on the wrong mouldings and it was about an inch tail heavy, so I won't be off fpv for long...

Quite normal. I have a man cave full of half finished projects. Cant be bothered at all to finish any of them.  :(

I'm am crap at flying too as I never stick with anything long enough to get good at it.  :-\

My mind wonders too much into other things. Now thinking about saving up for a gearbox kart.  :o :o

Dizzy

Now you reminded me I have a 450 size EC135 Cornish air ambulance to finish too :+

Its finding time to finish things I prefer flying any opportunity I get or gliding or slope soaring when not working on my restore project its work for money lol

dizzy ;D
The sky is for byrds and fpvers

I'm same to some degree.

I'm just about to finish building my Goblin 380.
I tend to fly more FPV in the summer, heli's in the winter and whatever in between lol.

Got back from the Air competition in Bath late Sunday.
So my enthusiasm for heli flying becomes greater than the other million and one things I have.

I did take my goggles, and hitchhiked a ride on someones multicopter though lol.

I seriously considered a 380 but the price is just too much for me to justify I couldn't afford it and would have been able to get a nice second hand 700 for similar money. We will of course need photos and a flight report!

It was too much for me.

Luckily the wife spotted it at weston Park and brought it.
99% finished.

Just a few bits to finish. (the tedious bits)

Battery extension wire, plugs and batteries due for delivery tomorrow.
Should of been here today but HK messed up my order.
Apparently 1 of the 2 batteries I ordered was damaged.

And the other battery vanished and put my order on backorder.
Then half an hour of trying to explain on live chat lol.

Will add some pics.

Not the best pic

I'll get some better ones.

Almost done, just the main gear belt and tail belt to get really tight.
Install Msh Brain.

And find some batteries that fit lol.

Yeah can't wait.

Trouble is,
The weather will be rubbish for 2 weeks after I finish it.

Same everytime I finish a new build.

Then you spend 2 weeks looking out the window for a break in the weather lol

I,m of the same mind as stevec, stopped using quads just fly my tri's now fetched my ccpm sceadu nitro out of the loft also fitted new esc to a borrowed 450 leccy and been watching this vid for inspiration LOL  https://youtu.be/VzDOD5fS8bI

Now that is cool Fpv. I have been thinking about trying this on a cheap hk450 pro I have. As you wouldn't be flying 3d you could really load up with batteries and potentially get some long flight times. My 450 flies for 10 minutes in a 2200 with a sensible head speed so if you took the top end of the pitch out and ran semi symmetrical blades you could probably get 20-25 minute flights out of the same packs I use in my disco (3s6100)
So effectively get the same flight time as I get now from the disco. It will fly faster and with a more organic feel.the only downside would be landing as gelid are so much harder to land Fpv. Great video though he is good.
