How come both your rx atennas are lying flat, shouldnt one be vertical, btw your prop isnt on (sorry) you sort of asked for it

2.4Ghz RX and is a full range FrSky, so will be more than fine for the distance I will be going with the Hornet :)

Thinking of getting one of these after my wife crushed the Raven in a cupboard! I've got loads of 1300 3s batts that I don't use - are they too big?

A little. I do run the 1000Mah 4S Turnigy blues but they're just on the limit.

Hi peeps, I've not been on here much but I just bought one of these critters and thought I would do a search for hornet on here and here I am.
I have pretty much all the gear to stick in it so am looking to give it a lick of paint before I crack on with the electrics. What paint are you chaps using on the foam? Cheers in advance.

His weighs 422g RTF, mine weighs 273g RTF.
But his batt is twice the capacity of mine....
So I guess it will be twice as fast and and twice as hard to launch :o
Assuming the wings are cut from a solid sheet - how does he expect that to be done to produce a one-piece wing?

Secret to success with these things is keeping the weight down. I can fly for 10 mins with an 850 3S which isn't bad.

Yep.

A bit of extra weight at speed gives stability. On 4S its wicked... especially with a tri blade
