Hi

Just to let all know I have been scammed by [email protected] on the BFMA website.

I paid £60 plus £14 post etc. for a HK scorpion Y650 Tri-copter paid on 9th Feb for my grandson. I Have not received it and he fails to answer anyemails. I, unfortunately use PP gift in error, as I included some PP fees!

That sucks :( have you said anything on their forum?

Thats the problem with people insisting you use the gift option with Paypal. You lose the greatest asset of using Paypal ie comeback if there are any issues.

The best crasher ever! I've had lots of practice.

Sorry to hear that but by my reckoning that's only 9 working days ago? Perhaps he's just been a bit busy and not been able to post it? Doesn't excuse the communication (or lack of) but I'd not lose hope yet.

Sending positive postal vibes to you Sir.

Side note: I won't pay via gift unless I know or trust the person, no exceptions.

One of the members at my club had a recent scammer trying to buy stuff off him too. So beware both ways.

Fingers crossed its just a misunderstanding and you get your tri.

I've had no problems using gift when buying through forums such as here, you generally have a better idea who you are dealing with in terms of the person, their post history, friends etc....

Now random classifieds? No chance. Too much risk of random scum bags trying to make a quick penny.

The BMFA website has always been the hunting ground for scammers sadly. Unless it's a reputable person that you trust never gift it.
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

Dave

Hopefully you get this resolved without too much issue.

IF he is a scammer then hes a bit sloppy as there is a fair bit of info on him that's pretty easily found on the interwebs ;)

mikeorjoe

The problem is that as he is a member I can only contact him through the BMFA website email. When I contacted him about a purchase he answered in a couple of hours not the 14 days I have waited since I paid. I have also had to contend with a disappointed grandson.

Why can't you e-mail him directly? You posted his e-mail address above.

mikeorjoe

Tried direct email but assumed that they were not getting through.
