Now does anyone know where I can buy some bottle? I need some to launch it.

Left handed frisbee toss?

Thats how i do it :)

Looks good.

You wont trash it! My maiden only went badly because my prop was on the wrong way :P I hit the floor maybe 3-4 times and no damage at all.

Good luck

You can grip the Evo from the underside to chuck it like a dart.

I've always been worried of prop strike!

I think I'll use the frisbee toss method.

The Mobius will be on so I can show the maiden vid.

I've never had a problem with my hands and the propeller. Go with what ever feels most comfortable for yourself. Good luck.

Whats your setup spec? looks like a Vector with 5.8 video and 2.4 control?

Bang on. D2826 1400KV motor with 8X5 APC. 3000 Multistars.

Obviously not a distance wing. Will be keeping it LOS for a while. I'll have my goggles with me just in case it all goes swimmingly. I will also have my ground station up and working for battery status and flight mode.

Batteries are now on charge. Can't wait.

It was watching your mountain bombing vid Adam that made me hit the button. Unfortunately here in Norfolk we hint got no hills bouy.

No that's fair enough, I don't think anyone really buys a Falcon for distance flying. Are you sure it isn't a 4000 multistar? they fit perfectly in the battery bay and with my setup balanced the wing perfectly without the requirement for added weight.

You didn't buy this until you saw my video?!? if that's the case, well done for putting it together so quickly!  :o

Maiden went great.

They are definitely 3000 3s. I got about 18 minute flights landing with 11 volts on both packs. Both packs recovered to 11.5 volts so all good there.

This was my first time with a proper FC and what a difference it makes.

Launch was a bit iffy but the Vector helped me out.

I am uploading the first flight to youtube now. I am no editor so it is the whole fairly boring flight with a couple of exciting bits to keep it interesting. Look out for the magic tree that jumps out on me!

I will post the link when its up on youtube.

Thanks guys for the encouragement.

Obviously not a distance wing.

You would be surprised. It largely depends on your motor choice. But mine would fly for at least 25km with a 4000 3s. In 18 mins you must have covered a reasonable distance given the wing will be averaging 40-50 km/hour.

BlueFlyer

full throttle, frisbee launch... the falcon will want to fly free of your hand anyway, so just guide it into the air at the right angle of attack and you'll be fine.

As you can see the launch was a little hairy but successful.

I did notice more vibration after the tree incident (@15:20). On closer examination there are a couple of small knicks in the prop trailing edge. A new one for the next flight.

I was hoping to get another two days flying over the weekend but I have been sent offshore  >:

Anyway any comments or observations are welcome.

Cool maiden & nice flights - take a chainsaw to that bl@@dy tree ;)
That looks like a lot of vibes though - I would check to see if you have bent the motor shaft / prop adaptor...
