Brucey and I finally managed to get both Vents in the air at the same time yesterday, we took a circular flight out along the river and over to the wind farm. It's nice to get a good flight in without just going out and back.

Brucey

Yeah it was good to get out. Looks like I've solved my range problem with a dipole on the tx

I think the ESC noise you get at the end is your batteries screaming for mercy!

I'm not sure if it was ESC noise or just vibrations on the Skew lobe that was held together with Selotape coming loose.

I've made some deans to xt60 adapters so I can try the 4s5200. Think I might need some tail weight to keep it balanced

You spelt "bigger motor" incorrectly.

Neil are you using an AAT for this? Really nice solid link at range while flying quite low. Looked great fun! :D

Yes, I use the MFD AAT with bluetooth and a GPS. I was surprised how good the link was considering I'd trashed a Circular Wireless skew on the last flight and didn't have a spare, so I tacked the torn skew lobe back in place with a bit of webbed tape and went back up!

It's nice flying like that where you're not just doing an "out and back run". You need to know the area really well but Brucey and I fly from there loads so we kind of know that if you follow the bend off that river along there you end up at so and so.

I see what you did there, but it's actually "Goosey" named after the old bridge you cross to access the meadow.

Brucey

F-ing goosey!

Yes the banter was funny, mainly me moaning about Neil's binary throttle!
