You're totally right. When I started out around 5 years ago, it was all about the videos. The best videos were recorded on GoPros. Of course, back then the GoPro was literally the best lightweight HD camera.

Then there were the various keychain cameras that eventually evolved into the Mobius.... none of them ever managed to get close to GoPro quality footage, despite being the ideal form factor for fixed wing FPV.

I think the RunCam2 is as good as you'll find which is a combination of great footage quality and form factor on the market right now.

The only reason I held on to my GoPro for so long is that I've had an on/off relationship with multirotors, and I suppose I thought that if I had a GoPro, it would be super easy and cheap to get a £100 gimbal for whatever quad I buy or build and have the ability to capture awesome aerial footage..... but I've come to the conclusion that quads just aren't for me anymore.... so I have no requirement for my GoPro.

I bought my 3 to get great video but I've been too scared to put it on anything in case it got smashed - instead I've been using my Mobius and a HD Hero I got off Marcin for 30 quid lol I could count on one hand how many flights its had on my planes, and on the other hand how many times it's been on my quad...

So my GoPro has, for all intents and purposes, sat unused for years (apart from a few selfies heh)

But you just never know when you'll need a fully waterproof camera to put in the pond to film algae!

I'm doing a little bit each day as I'm feeling well enough to go into the garage.

Today I mounted the TeleFlyPro and LC Filter to the ply tray you get as a shelf in the revolution, clears the floor of the fuselage for LiPo space, and keeps the top hatch available for the ESC. All wires are routed and GPS is mounted where I mounted the MFD GPS previously.

For the first time, I've mounted the FPV camera in the nose of the skywalker, fixed it in there with hotglue. I've also redecked the canopy so it's suitable for the RunCam2 HD and routed a power cable to it which will connect directly to the LiPo's balance charger.

I'll take some photos tomorrow.

  Sounds a neat re-furb Blue.....Does this mean the TelefyPro does not support CPPM..?...So, if you are using EZUHF, what video system will you be using?

TeleFlyPro is an old skool osd... No AP so no connection to the servos or ESC at all.

I only have a 4ch ezuhf rx, so I bought a ppm to pwm converter. The uhf rx will sit in the wing with a single servo cable taking the PPM stream into the fuselage to the converter. The ESC and servos will plug into the pwm out pins.

Video is 5.8, I want to be able to just grab the Walker, my goggles and taranis and go flying
