Yep been using a week or so now and like it better than 8.1. everything seems to be working.
One interesting thing I had to free up space on C drive to do the upgrade as only had 3gb left and needed 5 or something. After the upgrade I had 11gb free and thats with not deleting the 8.1 temp old backup file.
So now its done a update and it very quickly is back to 5gb free again.

Will leave it the 28 days till it deletes the windowsold.wim file and see how its looking. Might have to see if liftoff wants to move to another drive as thats taken the next largest amount of space.

Asus Zenbook
256g SSD but its split in 2. Might look at re sizing partitions.
i7 processor 1.9-2.4ghz
4gb memory
Intel HD Graphics 4000 video adapter.

Is 3 years old. Ready for upgrade but struggling to find something suitable. The ultrabook is very nice and light to carry around but none of the new ones seem to have much more hdd space. Really need to go 4x I think as 256 is just not enough.

Speed wise it seems ok. Does struggle with liftoff a bit. Haybales works ok but bit slow through the forest :-)

See that was the point I was making earlier, you have an i7 processor, earlier processors struggle with 10, well mine do!

Maybe a new i5 processor is similar to a 3 year old i7 ?

Runs fairly good. Just liftoff is marginal other than one level. Runs phoenix perfectly and the graphics on that seem easy as good.

I found a mate who is very good with Microsoft stuff and handed my Chuwi tablet over to him to sort out. Eventually he cracked the little bugger and installed new google Android and a new Windows 10. On return to me he had not put in any info, user name etc etc. I booted it up and of course Mrs BigT said she would like to have it so put her name in as user but no password, no MS account, she only wants it for FaceAche or some such nonsense. So today she turned it on and we connected to the WiFi at home, no problem, and ever since then its been dong update after update after update. Its been re charged twice so far. So here is the question: I want to create a Password Reset for it but it only has a micro sd slot and a very small USB port. I can find no instructions anywhere on how to do this for a tablet. None of the you tube demos are for a tablet. There must be a different layout for a tablet as the desktop looks more like a cross between an Android phone and an iPhone. When I search for user accounts I get the page with user accounts on but the link that should be on the left panel to take me to create password etc is not there. Now, is this because we have not password protected the tablet?

Why do you want to create a password reset for it if there is no password on it?

Are you sure you're in Windows and not Android?

I dont want to get locked out again. So I suppose the options not there until you put a password in? Also how do I get the desktop to look like windows 7

That's because it's Windows 10. It's functionally the same - click the windows icon, you have a menu. From there, you can launch your apps.

With Windows 8 they did away with the start menu. Now it's back because it worked better than the full screen launcher thing.

This is thing I find confusing, why are programs now called apps? I take it the Windows icon is the 4 squares in the bottom left corner? And where do I find the start menu? Thanks for the help, I won't be using it but I know I am going to get asked later. I don't why I find this so confusing, I picked up 7 so easy and I think there was a lot more info from MS
