I bought this plane a while back after seeing how smooth Coyote's MTD flew, took a while to decide to build it after getting my Drak finished and flying.

Just a few photos.
When I started the build I found two right hand side bits for the top cover latch instead of a right and a left, had to bodge one of them to make it into a 'left' side.





I usually strengthen the nose of my planes using either lightweight fibreglass matting, or a leg from a pair of ladies tights, and fix it to the fuselage with a first application of superglue spread out using a credit card (a tip Marcin shared years ago) then it gets several coats of B&Q water based varnish to fill the weave.

On the MTD I decided to use a Kevlar fabric sleeve, sold on Ebay for arm protection, it came as double thickness material so I cut across and unfolded it then slipped it over the fuselage and did the superglue process.

This Kevlar is sold as being cut resistant so I should have realised why it blunted the kitchen scissors after a few seconds, the cutting and trimming took a while as I hat to cut.... then sharpen the scissors.... another cut.... sharpen.... cut.... and repeat  ;D


Some fine surface filler added to feather it back to the rear fuselage and this nose is seriously strong without adding much weight (although the MTD can easily take extra weight up front)

I mounted the TBS Crossfire receiver aerials out of the rear of the fuselage


The Vtx went on the top of the wing in a 3D printed holder

with the skew aerial turned down to be under the wing, I'm getting good reception with this arrangement


Loads of space inside for the Vector

The maiden went fine, launched by my flying buddy it just a few clicks of aileron trim.
Once trimmed out I hand launched the next two myself no problem.

I always catch it  ;D

With the plane tilted over so the wing tip is on the ground the skew is well off the ground as I've got it close to the fus side, maybe an unplanned landing in the rough could but I've always wanted to try a skew underneath.

I bought a HK electric undercarriage leg a couple of years back and was going to try making up a retractable antenna so I could fit it into the belly of my Skywalker, it's still gathering dust on the shelf !

I've still to fit a rear facing camera and the camera switch.... specifically to aid in tandem flying  :)
