Hi
just wanted to know what the best way to set up my mini talon with the cyclops storm.
I have a new version which supports elevon mixing. At the moment I have put it together direct to the receiver with a reverser on one side of the v tail and it is working fine from the Taranis but I didn't know if when I add the storm there is a way to add rudder into the system via the storm.
I am happy to fly with just ailerons and elevator but would like to know all the options.
Cheers Steve

Hi Jake
version 2. I haven't been able to check the firmware but it shows elevon mixing in the menu and is shown on the diagrams in the manual

Ffs, spent about 12 hours printing this out and the fit was so snug that the side cracked when I put them together.

Just velcro to bottom of fuse.save yourself time, money and frustration. ;)

Looks like your plastic has shrunk a bit.

Just print the cracked side again and sand the insert a little ( if you're a perfectionist ) No one will care though apart from yourself so if you aren't that bothered just use a soldering iron to "repair" the gap :)

Just back from a weeks holiday in Scotland with the family and managed to squeeze the mini talon in with the rest of the holiday gear (investing in a roof box on ebay has helped!   :D ).

The weather was pretty mixed with just one morning when I managed to get out early and fly.    It was a great little place called Sandyhills in Galloway, Scotland.

Had a near disaster though, lost video when the goggles switched to the dvr menu mid flight and I couldn't switch it back.  I don't know what caused that, the little switch on the underside of the dom 2's is taped to stop me accidentally switching it (I have previous for it)  .  I'll have to try to get to the bottom of it before I go out again.

Anyway, the weather was sunny but very windy.   Had it not been for the video problem it would have been brilliant to fly a new location.  As it was I got the plane back ok so I'm happy.  video below

p.s.     Would be great if I could keep normal hours..... 3:15 am and no one's on .......    ;D

I reprinted the sides and sanded them down, I just couldn't bring myself to leave them ;D

I was going to say it looked like it needed more tuning to be honest, MFD AP should have had it even smoother. But in very high winds like it looked there a second model saved would be better with a strong tune for high winds with another model saved for fairer conditions.

Would it really help in conditions like that? Looked very rough.

Coyote

Yeah it would, but would be too much on a calm day so you would need it saved as another model in the MFD AP memory.
