I finally maidened mine yesterday.  I used a 4s, 5000mAh pack, an 8x4 prop and had a fixed mounted gopro session up front.  The CG was around 73mm from the wing leading edge.  The flight went really well, hardly any trim needed, and the stock Vector gains were not a million miles out, although it was a bit gusty to tell properly.

I had two flights, the first was approx 22 minutes, and the second was 31 minutes.  The current draw at cruise was around 6.5amps, full throttle was about 20 amps. Not sure on the cruise speed, I had the vector setup in a super simple osd layout.

After those two flights, I've decided I could do with a bit more power, so I'm going to try an 8x6 prop out, and a 9x5, and see how they do.  I also need to have a tinker with the vector settings to see what effects changing the gains has, and then optimise the flight modes I use.  3d heading hold was really weird, didn't like that at all...

Sat and tried a few options with the printer today. I wanted the Mobius to be able to pan with the head tracker, but only the live cam to tilt.

Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

Don't comment, I already don't like it lol

Version 2 will be designed and built tomorrow, once I am finally happy I will of course put the parts on Thingiverse :)

The pod by the way is JT's design, modified to suit my servo.

Tomorrow I will be moving the live cam to next to the Mobius not above and behind it because tilt down is pretty much pointless where the camera is right now.

Its all part of the process I guess :)

I have found with mine you need some downward angle on the mobius due to how the plane sits in the air. When it's parallel with the deck there is too much sky and the mobius struggles. I have a camera mount with a 5 degree tilt on top of my servo currently but it could do with being probably 8 degrees or so for the sweet spot.

I've found that with mine too. I've got a fixed fpv cam, and with it pointing straight ahead, I get about 60% sky, and 40% ground in shot when cruising.  The next flight (hopefully this evneing) I've got the cam set at about 10 degrees down, to see if that balances out the picture a bit better.

Thanks for mentioning that - I have my camera pointing straight forwards at the minute and not maidened it yet, I'll give it a slight downward angle tonight

Karma to both

My RC2 was flat mounted, put a little foam wedge under it last week ,and its a lot better now too.

Had my first taste of play time with the Talon tonight, so far it's been set-up and general tweaking but tonight I just had a bit of a play. Still needs the current sensor sorting so I can know what flight time I've left but tonight I just kept an eye on the volts. Flight times were 30issh mins and 45mins with loads left in the bag, second flight I just headed off on my cycle routes and turned back at 7.5km with good vtx and link, the pic's

21miles on the clock

Nice and calm evening

I also added a piece to the bottom of mine, a little H section glued in so the strap for the lipo has something stronger than just foam to grab to.

Thats how I ended up mounting my NTM to get some air around it as well.

Soooooo pleased with my mini talon after some adjustments to the control rod positions.  Quick video (not as exciting as some of your vids posted)
