Hi all.
I have made the bold step to start up a small business making various antenna.
Enough said. You can visit the website and view the first two in the range.

Thank you

Smart looking website and antenna, best of luck and look forward to seeing the range expand.

May I suggest you look to develop antennas for the tbs crossfire? So many people bought them and are finding range is sometimes inferior to UHF.

A decent dipole for the Rx, a diamond equivalent for the Tx and perhaps a Moxon for the range gurus would be ideal.

Will you be doing R and L polarised antennas? IBCrazy made a big effort with L polarised with the idea being you can fly two craft on the same channel one with R and one with L. Anyway it didn't really work so IMO L isn't worth it.

Nice looking site. Needs more products though.

Also it needs some proof flights, videos of reception, ranges achieved on your antennas.

More info in the about you section explaining on which ways you SWR your antennas, gain patterns etc would all be a benefit.
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

Hi all

Thanks for your comments

The business only went live on Tuesday so lots more to do

To answer a couple of the questions. The next antenna is to be a 5 turn helical and so far the dipole has exceeded 14k

Video's and comments are on their way

John, coyote has as always, made a valid observation that I endorse . I would add, Don't assume your customer base has any knowledge at all. It's a very common mistake when you are an enthusiast to assume that the customer has a good idea of what they are looking at and need. For example a simple explanation of antenna to vtx and vrx compatibility by manufacturer, picture of the connector with each antenna, etc etc. Sounds basic to an exert but that's what's needed.

Maybe a section on installation rights and wrongs, interference diagnosis, and some cheaper versions of pepper box and other antenna, U.K. Built and supplied. Basically everything that RMRC do but made and supplied in the UK
Lots of work ahead of you and I wish you success.

Nice work, you need to get some videos up of live downlinks using your antennas IMO, that way people can see how good they actually are.

stevec

my 0.02p worth.

Remember when you are making these antennas for profit that IBcrazy owns the intellectual property rights for a lot of them.
things like the pepperbox and other designs that are hard to make in 5.8GHz if not legally owned by VAS are sort of out of bounds for commercialisation. we are not in china so companies can litigate in the UK.

the boat has sailed for helical and skews and they are pretty much public domain but some of the others may get you in trouble potentially.

I second the Crossfire stuff though.
good on you for giving it a go.

If you need anyone to use your antennas and create DVR footage of them being used at range, I'm more than happy to oblige :)

I wouldn't mind a UHF dipole centred on 440MHz suitable for use on a JR module transmitter.

I've just had a look at your website and it put 2 questions in my mind:

1. Why should I buy these particular antenna and not just get some cheap Chinese ones?
2. What are 'the best materials' and how are they to my advantage?

Please take this in a constructive way, it is intended as a positive observation :)

Good luck with your venture :)

P.S. I'm not actually asking the above questions but its what the 'average Joe' will be thinking as they enter your site and trust me 'average Joe' is your best customer ;)

Hi all.
Once again thank you for your comments. yes I do appreciate them and understand they are meant to be constructive.
SO:
I have no intention of stealing anyones designes, all my antenna are developrd in their own right and not copies. It is obvious that they will look similar by the nature of the beast.

It has taken several months to get the antenna right, with a lot of research and product testing both in the field and on the test bench using analysers. It took a long time to be confident enough to release the product as us FPV flyers want value for money!
On to the materials, during the testing period a whole range of different materials were tested, using suppliers from both the UK and abroad. The final product is the result of these tests and not the "cheapest".

The final pointis "why buy from the uk". The main reason is that the quality is assured and there is a person at the end of a phone should you need help, you can't get that from china!

Future development will be governed by customer requirements and not just fashion and profit.
Best reagards
John
