Downward facing RunCam2 HD stills... stitched

Here is a stitched composite of some screen shots I took from my RunCam2 HD's downward facing footage on board the X-UAV Talon's maiden last weekend. Stitched using Microsoft ICE (Image Composite Editor)

I think if I were to be flying properly straight doing linear passes up and down the area the stitch would come out better... this was purely a test

You need to use professional software like agisoft photoscan for example to get any decent results. APM will give you a grid map with waypoints and I believe there is a waypoint package for the vector FC as well.

results are better with this one as there were fewer shots to stitch

100% agree, to get pro results you need pro images to start with and pro software.

This was purely a fun test from some screen shots I took from video footage and free software, not bad considering eh? :)
