Hi Guys

Just a warning for you! Don't neglect to check the Chinese wiring connections on stuff you get from China.. :o :o

I bought an APM power module off ebay and just connected it up without checking it :-[ and wondered why my lipo was getting warm
Has a direct short on the output - neg connected to pos connector - not good!

Lets be careful out there - as the saying goes

Oh dear, it's one of those things you just take for granted and only notice after its happened :(
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

You might want to check the wires going to the apm before you plug it in. Two of them supply power, one supplies 5v and the other 3.3. I have had a module that delivered the full 16.8v from a fully charged 4s. Obv my next buy was a new apm.

I had power module going in smoke, the wire insulation turned into charcoal. Fortunately APM survived.

Chinese QA fail.

Just a follow up on this, I made a return request on the power module through ebay and the seller has refused it. No reason, just a message that he has  closed the return!

I wouldn't advise anyone to buy from this seller - lovecc1020 - tw@t...

Might be an idea to have a section for good and bad sellers on the forum where people can air their experiences either good or bad ???

After a total lack of support by Ebay I was becoming annoyed, things were getting personal  :hammershead: It was not the money, it was the fact that the seller was basically telling me to get stuffed - doesn't sit well with me!

I had paid with PayPal so I rang them and they could not have been any better, refunded me straight away and said they would be corresponding with seller about selling faulty electrical goods, great stuff !!!
