I had a visit to Pitmedden Garden recently and with permission was allowed to set up and take stills and video. The weather was perfect and the subject magnificent. It was the last day of the season and they were keen to get shots before the garden was prepared for over-Winter. In return they got copies of my photos and a big thank you for indulging me.

The original garden or "Great Garden" as it was known, dates back to the mid/late 1600s. The current garden was restored in the 1950s to try and replicate the original. At ground level it's magnificent but from the air it's an absolute gem in the surrounding countryside.

One of the advantages of living in the North of Scotland is evening flying in the Summer. Meikle Wartle from 1000ft agl. Visual conditions were excellent so this flight was conducted VLOS.
