Hi
I'm having problems setting up FS. I've set the switch and throttle position on the x9d, then pushed the little button the the l9d, the l9r gives me a long green blink ... all good.

i then run the vector rx wizard again... all good.

I reboot everything rx binds. but when i power off the ail's move a bit but the motor does naff all.the osd reports the bird is in RTH ...with no motor spinning???

No maiden today me thinks.

Thanks

Maybe it knows it's on the ground so it turns off the motor?

Fair point Steve. I'll do a bit more digging. The vector software is telling me its in FS. So would make sense. Thank you

Steve might be right here, some APs don't let the motor spin up on RTH unless it's detected that it's moving. It's a safety feature so you don't chop your fingers off.

It makes perfect sense seeing as the motor spins up for a second then cuts. Suppose the only way to know is test at altitude.

Thanks fellas

RTFM
"The Vector attempts to detect when the model is on the
ground, and disables the propeller during RTH if so, but
in some conditions, such as with bad GPS readings,
altimeter drift, or incorrect settings, the Vector may not
be able to detect that the model is on the ground, and the
propeller could spin!"

The other thing I found using the very sensitive L9R ...is that at close range it can get swamped with TX RF.....This can cause the L9R to go into FS.....so you are lucky the Vector is smart enough to know its still in your hand.....and is being launched....:)

I cured the problem by pointing my TX antenna down at the deck....Its either that or get someone else to chuck it so its further away from you...
