The receiver turned up today, so tonight I got it all running, i'm well pleased with the power, it lifts vertically, so as long as it fly's, it should go like a rocket.
i need to fined somewhere with long grass tomorrow, for its maiden flight, I haven't got a clue where the CG is.

Well, you win some and you lose some, strange behavior, first of it seemed front heavy, so I moved the battery back slightly and it tumbles backwards side ways and whatever way it wants to, like a leaf in the wined. not to sure witch way to go, seems like a dart without the flights, not sure weather the motor needs pitching, or I need more elevation.
I have a short video, that I need to put up, but I will need to make some changes, if this little plane is going to work.

CoG on the original one is about 1.25 -> 1.5" in FRONT of the FRONT spar... not sure where that'd be on your scaled up version.

I was thinking it was CG, but when I move the battery from front to back in small movements, it still misbehaves.
perhaps there's a flying guru out there, that likes a challenge, I could send them a kit, see what thay can do, i'm a model maker, not a airo dynamics expert. Lol
I will have a look agen soon.
lots of work on at the same time, getting an art instillation ready to go to Milan.

Well I'm no expert but apart from the obvious rearward COG, I'm thinking..
Is it just stalled and needs to get up more airspeed?
What is the wing section and wing loading? - is it reasonable for such a small model? If the section is thin and flat it will have to get shifting  before it becomes stable & responds nicely.
I don't know how forward swept wings work really - does the real DRAK have a very thick section? or reflex? Or tip washout ?
Finally - how stiff is your wing? If it's flexing in flight, then the responses will be - well - interesting..

lot to answer there, The plain is 45g with battery fitted, the wings are stiff with carbon running through them, it has a shaped air foil wing and I haven't got a clue what the big Drak has.

Try moving the battery forward: Nose heavy flies bad, tail heavy flies just once.

thanks for the advice bud, yes I tried that, I thoght the exact same thing, but I think theirs more to it than that.
I need to get back to it soon.
