uhm, maybe the thrust angle of the motor?
And such little / light weight planes dont like wind at all, maybe you could try it on a very calm day or indoor.

Loopdreams

Wings often don't have a very large flyable CG range, it may be that at the point between those two very different behaviours that it might actually fly.

Bit late Martin, but hear are some of the process photos.

G kindly sent me this beta kit.
Although some parts needed cutting & some parts needed making im still amazed at how well it came together & how accurate it is.

I'm determined to get this to fly - just gotta add the electrics & chuck it!

It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense...

Ok can I go into the queue for a 600mm version please G, I think I'd like to try one of these - they look brilliant.

beesleyboy

looking great Martin, I reckon next time I try it, i'm going to try a flat wing, with no airfoil.

After many failed launches I seem to have found the sweet spot.

I increased the thickness of the wings & added a 'ton' of elevon reflex.
With the battery waaay out in front - it flys!

Large dots indicate current CG point.

There doesn't appear to be enough elevon authority - so I may have to make larger ones.
Also the thrust angle is out on my build.

It looks awesome in the air thou...

Well done G!

This is a fun project now...to be continued...
