What's wrong with my Dvr?

Hey guys,

Just put together my fpv system and its working, hoorah!

However, the DVR isn't.

I take output from vrx, goes into the Dvr with the headphone jack type of wire but with 3 rings on the shaft, then output goes into my quanum goggles screen.

The Dvr powers up but I get just get no signal on the screen. There are 3 green leds and one red. One green and one red just flash continuously.

This is the HD DVR little silver box that a lot of people have.

Any ideas? I think it's faulty.

Try pulling the cable out slightly, some of the devices expect the cables to be wired a certain way so the 3 rings are in the wrong order. Worth a try anyway, that's what my DVR has an issue with.

I had the same trouble a few weeks ago after getting the pocket DVR from FPV.  At first I used these "Gender changers" (3) to connect from the 3.5mm jack Fatshark attitude goggles cable to the the 2.5mm jack cable.

I wanted a light weight cable so I got a 3.5mm jack cable to a 2.5 jack.

This standard cable did NOT work as the wiring is different.   I cut the wire and re-soldered them and it works great.  Attached is a drawing of what cable goes to what.  Hope that helps. The sound is only mono.
