Hi All

I want to get into racing drones so I have ordered a Eachine Wizard X220.
I already fly FPV with planes and drones and fancied trying something faster and more skillful.
I was told to learn in acro mode and to practice loads on a simulator so i downloaded the free DRL sim and I find it great for learning, I didnt realise how hard it would be.

Try RotorRush, its widely considered the most realistic simulator. (Its not perfect, but none are)

DRL its pretty terrible.

DRL certainly isn't the best.

My sim of choice is Freerider Recharged (and the original Freerider).
For me the 'gravity' in Freerider feels the best. The only thing I dont like about it is the 'worlds' are a bit small.

Agreed that DRL is terrible.
I learned on Freerider and it seems reasonably realistic although I can't seem to get a really good setup with my turnigy evolution.  Recently downloaded Liftoff which is also pretty good, but feels a bit floaty.

Hi guys thanks for your reply's, your right about DRL I was rubbish on that then my brother told me about freerider and it  was loads better.
I will try rotorrush thank you Ratty im also going to try Hotprops.
Iv'e got my Eachine wizard and set it all up and got someone to test it for me today and it fly's great.  I gave it a little FPV but it was very windy and hard to get used to after flying my phantom 3 which is mega stable.
Im going to try at least 30min's a day on the sim wearing my goggles.
Paul.
