Hi fellas,
I can't work out how to connect the sis dax to the MFD ap. Is it only the signal wire I need into the ap? On the sensor rail? I can see on the instructions for MFD that there's an rssi pin but im confused about where ground and live go. On the sis dax instructions it says the live is optional ... So what about ground?!?

Cheers

Ground will be picked up from your ppm ground wire. You only need to connect the  signal pin to the MFD from the dax

Hmmmmm still not working

So, Chan 8 on ezuhf 8ch lite is set to rssi on the left column  (all ppm muxed in the right column)

Into mfd osd menu, rssi cali, set the max which is roundabout 1.167 (i assumed this value would have been somewhere near to 5v???), then set min which is a vaule not far off the max!?!. Save settings.

The rssi value in the top right of the osd reads 000.

Ive tried 3.3v and 5v setting on the sis labs dax and ensured rssi setting is correct.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thx
P

Not sure I understand your settings on the uhf, can you post a pic. Please

Hmm, I think that's right, off the top of my head. Odd.
Sure the dax is the right way round?

I'll double check. Thanks Brucey.

Hmm, not sure what to suggest

I've just noticed this on the manufacturer website.

RSSI programable converter for EzUHF (DAX) is used to convert pwm signal that come from Immersion EZUHF receiver to 0v-5v or 0v-3.3v analog output so it can be used on any OSD as analog RSSI (Receiver Signal Strength Indicator) or LQ (link quality).

Does pwm have to be used rather than ppm?

Your only using ppm for the control signals (channel 1 out of the Rx) the rssi (channel 8 ) is pwm

Just clutching at straws, could try a different channel for rssi or try link quality

Hi Brucey
It's now working. I checked the voltage on Chan 8 of the ezuhf 8 channel lite. It was 5.5v, I checked Chan 7 and it read the same. I moved the Dax to Chan 7 and hey presto I'm now getting rssi. But I have noticed that no matter if I select the voltage to be 3.3 or 5v the rssi calibration on the MFD is only calculated from 3.3v

Anyway, it's working. Thanks for steer Brucey. Karma given

Glad you got it working. Not sure why changing channel made a difference but I guess that doesn't matter in the end!
Thanks for reporting back
