The British Championship is being held at BMFA HQ in Buckminster on the weekend of 21-22nd October.

There will be the drone racing championship, a Tiny Whoop indoor track sponsored by Tiny Whoop themselves, an open LOS flight line and the UK's best drone trade stands.

Come along and watch, fly, or just eat some food in the sunshine (?).

So after my awesome performance Ratty I presume I qualified for the championship?  ;D

If I'm allowed I'm game however with the impending arrival of our first child I may be some what preoccupied!

DroneRanger

Never did know how you did with your racing? How was it? Hope to be up at the BMFA as I didn't realise that the BMFA is about 15 mins from where some of my family live in Melton Mowbray.

The current top 60 pilots standings can be found here:

After all the qualifying events have finished, then the top 60 will be invited to compete. If any can not attend, then the invite will be passed down to the next in line.

Unfortunately mate, you arent a BFPVRA member, so your result doesnt even count.  :(

Will still be a fun day out (if the weather plays fair) for the family. The sooner you get the young one addicted to flying, the sooner you have to take them out to fly.  ;D

Roundozo

Lol, I don't think barely completing 2 laps counts either!

DroneRanger - it was great fun although it has shown me the vast gap I need to bridge in terms of skills. I keep practicing so one day!

Ratty

Fun is the key. We all start somewhere.

We will have a Tiny Whoop track and a LOS flight line open as well. So plenty of flying to do/watch if you come up.

Update on the upcoming British Championship, which is in just over three weeks time now.

The guys over at 3D Championship have teamed up with the BFPVRA to make this event even better than it was already going to be. So now not only will the best pilots in the UK race to crown the British Champion, not only can you race Tiny Whoops in an indoor competition for prizes, but there will also be a 3D helicopter flight line run by the best helicopter organisers in the UK.

Over 100 pilots, drone simulators, trade stalls and free entry for spectators. Whats stopping you coming down for a fun weekend? (hopefully not the rain)

To add a bit of hype and help promote the sponsors of the British Championship, here is some of the custom made track equipment, made by Airdezign.com, that we will be using for ths Championship track.

Firstly some brand new corner markers. Sponsored by Quadcopters.co.uk.

With out sponsors we could not make these events happen. So they are very much appreciated.

Ratty

Next in our line of sponsors, is Buildyourowndrone.co.uk with a new style race gate custom build by airdezign.com

This years track is going to be un like any seen before in the UK.

Ratty

Whats that? You love FPV and drinking whiskey? Then we have the perfect event sponsor for you.

Fireball Whiskey has sponsored this years British Championship, and the guys over at AirDezign.com have knocked up two awesome gates for them.

Come and join in the fun at BMFA Buckminster on Oct 21st-22nd. Racing, Whooping, 3D helicopters and simulators, along side trade stands and food. Free entry for spectators, £5 to fly all weekend with your Tiny Whoop as well as enter the competition on Saturday evening with some prizes from Jesse himself.

Ratty

Me again, less than a week now until we know who our new British Champion is.

Who ever it is, they will have to fly through these lovely custom made gates by AirDezign.

Want to see if they will stand up to the abuse the pilots and great British weather can throw at them? Come on down, free entry all weekend for spectators. There will be plenty to see, plenty to buy and plenty to eat. You can also fly on the racing simulators and enter a Tiny Whoop competition.

ali101

Guys is there a booking process or can you just turn up.

Ratty

You can just turn up to spectate which is free, and enter the Tiny Whoop competition which is £5 for the whole weekend.
