As requested a quick overview.  I have pretty normal eyes for a 65 year old, some help needed with plus 6 meters, lots of help in one eye and not so much in the other for reading. Day to day for driving and flying LOS  I wear varifocals which I totally love. However for close work such as soldering FC Boards, using the mini lathe etc the varifocals are not strong enough on there own. So I found having had a very basic headband magnifier that I inherited from my father worked OK but I wanted something a bit more modern and that had a light and various lenses for different distances. This head band is good and solid, comes with a selection of lens and is supplied with 3xAAA batteries as well.  The light can be removed and used as a stand alone torch if required. One nice touch is that there are 2 lens holders so its possible to change the focal length for each lens.  The lens flips up out the way so you can search the bench for the next tool or component.  I am also able to leave my glasses on whilst using them which is another bonus.
