Viper Box Goggles......Supplied by FXT Technology.

Having started to learn how to fly Quads on my Monitor, it became apparent that it may be easier if I could use a Goggle Headset instead. Mainly for when flying lower to the ground which a lot of Quad flying style is. Not that Im interested in racing through gates or anything, but just would like a more immersive experience.
These are very new to market, and seemed to fit the bill having the benefit of a periscope design meaning your eyes are further from the screen. The other key feature is that they are designed for people who wear glasses.
Initial tests seem very good, I can focus on the screen, the Menu / Joystick is intuitive and easy to use, with the added bonus of a DVR. One of the things I really like is the Channel listing table, navigate directly to your frequency (which is numeric) using the joystick. My Little Pilot Monitor has Autosearch and it always lands on the adjacent band, annoying because its a right PIA to correct using the buttons.
Added bonus..?...My Little Pilot Monitor clips on it too....:)
I will also use it with my 1.2G Ground Station and 5.8G relay of course, so not too worried about absolute range performance on 5.8G, although each antenna has a numeric RSSI which is very useful when head tracking the signal.
Lightweight, and the hard case is really nice, so are the headstraps, very easy to adjust and smooth with velcro type grips and no bulky buckles. I need to test it some more but so far Im very pleased I can comfortably wear them and see the screen very clearly.

Just done some extensive flying with the Tiny 7 Whoop....it's great, I really like it. The DVR has a dedicated button to start / stop recording making it really easy and the quality is very good.
Very comfortable to wear and my standard reading glasses work fine. Very little light leakage. The DVR makes 3 minute AVI files, works well and join seamlessly in WMM.
Fly round the house and even in and out doorways no problem, the immersive feel makes a real difference.
If you order these Goggles, be aware there is a £6.50 DHL shipping charge and DHL will make you pay approx £4 handling after they take possession. Upside..?....They arrived within a week and DHL were very good texting when they would arrive.
This is going to help me learn Quad flying for sure....:)
