How can I improve my TBS Discovery?

So I went out today with my TBS Discovery and my Immersion Vortex quads.

! No longer available

I really enjoyed flying the Vortex as I always do, but the TBS Discovery I was just bored of really quickly - it felt like I was flying in treacle. However, I recognise that it's not designed to be a "racer" but I feel like it could be sharpened up a bit and the footage improved remarkably from the crapola coming out of it at the moment.

Basically the specs are as follows: 950kv motors on 3s 5000mAh with 1045 props ... it is efficient, but i believe this is the main cause of its sluggishness due to it being unable to spool the motors quick enough compared to the Vortex.

What I WANT is to be able to cruise around without it vibrating all over the place like you see in the video. I want to be able to fly forwards, at speed, like the Vortex without the vibration killing the footage from the HD camera.

What gains do I need to adjust to make this happen - it's running pure stock gains on the Naza at the moment.

Remember, I want "cruising" rather than "freestyle" which I don't/can't do.

As it stands I have little use for the TBS Discovery because the footage sucks - but I'd like to be able to use it because it's far more efficient than the Vortex so I can fly further and longer (and has RTH!)

Any ideas?

The vibration is something to look at first. Check all props are undamaged and maybe even check the balance. Check the feel of all the motors and that they are all tight.
The camera footage looks very 'jello' like so you need to reduce/eliminate the vibrations but also try and isolate the camera from the frame. i.e. the vibrations are being transferred to the camera so you need an anti vibe mount for the camera.

As for the Naza are you running the lite version? If so flash the firmware to the full version (google instructions and fw). Full version is much better at holding position etc.

I played with the gains in the Naza Assistant to get the handling of my F450 a bit more 'snappy' it now responds so much better. As you say it is like flying in treacle but turning the gains up made it so much better. I just took a windows tablet to the field and took off wiggled the controls and saw how fast it responded. Then turned up the gains and watched if it was better or not. When I had gains too high it was very responsive but took a short time to settle (you could see it wobble) after a sharp stick input.
