I wanted to link the review in of the TS100 soldering iron, although it's not a new thing, and most of the comments from YouTube are "yes, I've got one and it's great"  But for you guys perhaps looking for a new iron, check it out.  I really like it... but I must get most volts into it for heating up really quickly

I think when I have a few spare pennies I'll be getting one of these, very practical, nothing but good reviews on them as well :)
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

I'm currently somewhere inbetween want this iron and still have a couple of good irons. I wish I had seen the reviews prior to my letter to Santa.
I'm certainly glad CurryKitten isn't from the USA. All their talk of "soddering" would really have put me off.  It's almost as bad as their "raoot" aka to proper English speakers as route.
Meanwhile I'm still getting my head around the idea of a programmable soldering iron.

Has anyone tried soldering some biiig connectors with one of these irons?  Like 8mm bullets, and the big cable to suit them?  My antex 100watt iron bit the dust a couple of weeks ago....

If you are in the market for a new Iron then just get this. I have had no problems doing 12AWG wire for battery connectors and the new firmware boosts the temperature to 450deg. The important thing here is to pair it up with a good power supply. I'm using a 24 volt pack delivering 10Amps and it works great. I mostly use it at home an my main Iron so I can 't comment on how good it'll be powered from a lipo.
