If anyone is into old helicopters here are some pictures of me (taken about 30 years ago) and my first heli, a Schluter Mini Boy.

cheers John.

Very nice helicopter, have you still got it or is that optimistic? :)

Coyote

That`s cool, I am surprised looking at it that not much has changed in the design of them over the years :)
Education and schoolin is good, but FPV is gooder :)

I still have it, although it is not in flying condition but it would not take much to get it back in the air again.  I did see one that was converted to electric and if I were to invest in its future I think this is the way I would go.  That would not be soon as I have a few projects that are more important to me.
The biggest at the moment is getting my health problems sorted out so I can get outside to fly again.

Those were early days in r/c helis and cost a small fortune - £40 for a set of wooden rotor blades.
I also had to build this up from a kit and there was little help from the local flying club who banned helis which was quite common then  >:(

FPVSteve

Sounds like the circle of life with regards banning things - wonder if, in 30 years, FPV will be welcomed rather than lambasted.

I don't think it will take that long, things move much quicker these days although there are still some flying clubs in the NE that don't allow helis.
I have found a large field close to where a mate lives so I am hoping to do some flying there this week.  Having never flown a plane before I bought a Champ and have an 808 cam attached to it so I can capture all the vertical landings
If I do get out I promise to post the results

FPVSteve

I'm sure you'll be fine :)
