Took some pics while flying yesterday. Runs of the 2600 3s battery you see. It will also charger the archos if neccessary to. Recommend the archos av700, bought off ebay for £50 and does everything a good media player does plus records with 100gb capacity.

I have been using an Archos AV700 for about a year now and agree with you that they are a nice bit of kit, I unfortunately (accidentally) plugged mine straight into a 3S lipo just once and it did the charging circuit in so now it is through a drop down voltage regulator.
I was lucky enough to get one with a damaged screen off Ebay for £5 and swapped out its good charging board.

One for a fiver for parts is a good deal. I use a hobbyking ubec which you can see sitting above the archos to run the charger lead incase it needs it but the battery last a while though.

It's a bit hard to see but is that a 5.8 bi-quad you have pointing straight up on the left side of the photo ?

Yes, 5.8ghz antennas are tiny little things. It's better with the vertical signal than the cloverleaf is.
