Ground station with home made clover leaf and skew planar antennae

This is my ground station: A home made Skew Planar antenna atop a light-weight 4M high lighting rig tripod produced by a company suitably called "SkyTech" ; An RC305 5.8GHz receiver; Head-Play video goggles and a feed into my laptop via an "EasyCap". It all seems to be working pretty well.

The Transmitter on my Heli is fitted with a home- built cloverleaf antenna. So far, the combo has worked well, with no drop out within the range I've been flying.

Nice and simple Gs, the cloverleaf however looks totally wrong, the leaves are at the wrong angles, they should be at 45 degrees and the feed gap is massive. You might want to give that another go

I'll try one at 45 degrees, they don't take much to make. This one is at about 30 degrees and seems to work OK, I don't know how this will affect max range, I haven't ventured further than I've done a ground test, so far, and that's only about 150 meters in L.O.S.
