Bixler FPV Build

As you all know by now by all the random questions i been bombarding you all with, i am a newbie after all ;).

My Bixler FPV build is under way.

First things first took out the washers, and removed all the sticker, then knocked up a tripod mount for the Vrx.


Then i added some CF tube to the fuse sides, as the first crash i had with my other bixler it all crunched up a little, so once bitten and all that. in went the CF tubes.


then i added CF tube to the horizontal stabilizer and removed and replaced all the stock horns as they are pants.


and inserted a CF tube into the vertical stabilizer.


found some spoons to suit and then cut out air ducts on the front sides of the fuse and one on top behind the prop as a vent.
i got clear ones as i intend to colour them when i decide on a design and colours, paint it from the inside gives you a perfect gloss shine even if you brush paint it on, old rc car painting many moons ago ;).


TX was sent to the rear with a little trimming to fit and holes poked in sides at a V angle for antenna tubes, with a little cable management.


Next up was remove stock motor and mount, then mod the fuse to take a BL style motor mount and fit the 2212-06 28A 2200kv SP motor and 6x4E APC prop.
"NOTE: check the 2 screws holding the motor to the stock mount as one of mine was loose and the other finger tight"


So far thats it, fatshark doms, fatshark head tracker and fatshark 5.8g Vtx are on a slow boat from china, going to order a 40A plush ESC l8rz no doupt with a faw more goodies thrown in as ya do. hoping to get a G.man pan an tilt special for me bixler oh crap got to order a V camera to most prob the 650.

chow for now and take it easy well unless your racing ;).

Looking good :) Only thought is that have you weakend the tail with the foam removed for the RX?

it will have a 3mm CF rod put right along the bottom and 3mm CF tube in the sides when i get some more, just incase i did, but it was only minimal foam removal to fit.

just waiting for parts to drop through me door mukka.
popped out the std servos today and replaced them with Turnigy TG9e, as the HXT900's were forever out of stock, until i bought the TG9e, then they were in stock gggrrr.

trying to source some paint now, think its going to be a trip to hobbyworld or someware like that. acrilic paint i think is safe to use, hope so.

that little pigtail poking out my pod should i remove that and put a balance lead plug LC Filter on it and power it via the balance plug on my 2200 3S lipos?

Not allot going on at the moment, still awaiting parts.
fpv pod now has lc filter on it and balance plug connector.

going to go with orange paint, so here is the start of it :)
