Naza450 battery

Off to get some batteries tomorrow.... What's the biggest lump I can safely use? Eg without blowing anything up or effecting flight control?

Also what about running two batteries eg 1 for naza and 1 for fpv?

I'm not sure what payload it can handle?

hazardpro  I run on a 450 4000ma 3s for power plus 600ma or 800ma for vtx and cam

auw is 1.8kg i get eight minutes flight time i could go longer but don,t like discharging to low with my lipos its suprisng how long it can take to rtl if you need it so i stick to my eight minutes

I use 2 x 2200's in parallel.. mainly because I already had 5 of them, and it saved buying a new battery.  This powers everything, and gets me a comfortable 10 minute flight time.  I know that 3DJim uses a 4500 3S and can happily pull lots of aerobatics, so it's well within the payload the 450 can carry.

I found a single 2200 on a fully configured 450 only got 5 minutes, which was a bit short. I'd find myself being instantly concerned about my voltage a few minutes in. 2 in parallel though, is fantastic for me.

Used to, but I tend to track voltage in my OSD and have my radios timer set for 10 mins which doesn't push the lipo at all

Yup 3s 4500 nanotech's here, set time for 10mins, fly quad hard, charge lipo's at 10 or 20a every time!! bout 16 mins to recharge :), over 200 charges and all still giving 10 min flights!.

Recently bought a couple of 4000mAh 3s nano techs and give about 8min carrying extra weight and wind resistance from 2axis gimbal.  Not too bad.  Rapid charge time is nice.  Must also get round to making a cable to link in parallel 2 x 2200mAh 3s as have a bunch of them from 450Heli days.

I use 1 4S 5000 mah and get 10 mins without draining it low, however, I don't think you could throw any acrobatics with it, but then I've never tried :)

I charge at 3amp for my 3300 lipos. I was told to many amps will shorten the lifespan of the batteries.

That's fine you could even increase it to 3.3!
1amp for every 1000mah

I always charge my 2200's at 8amps.. and they are lasting me ages :) the trick is to have a few and cycle the; the most damage is done by over discharging or re-charging when the cells are very hot..
