Important notice for ChainLinkDare users

It has come to our attention that there may be a potential problem with some Chainlinkdare  Rx's. The problem is  recovery from a lost signal without powering off,

After some investigation, we found the problem:  One of the pins of the RF module maybe raised up because of nearby interference/proximity , some RF modules are soldered too close to the control board this may cause a problem.

The solution is as below:

Solder the pin SDN and GND together on the left side of the RF module, as the pic shows below,  the solder is strongly recommend for all ChainLinkdare users,which will solve the issues mentioned above,  even if you don't have any issues, we still recommend this for safety.

Orders shipped after 10th, Nov  are no need to do the soldering work, have fixed already.

Also, for Futaba radio users, we strongly recommend powering the ChainLinkdare through the battery directly, and not through the trainer port,  the trainer port can't take bigger current for one of the internal diodes, you may burn the diode out, although it's an easy fix, but still for safety, we strongly recommend powering any UHF system using a battery directly(using another battery or using the radio battery are all OK),  even if you don't have any problems now.

I recommend doing the fix.

I have a chainlinkdare RX V2.1 2011-11-24.

Will I need to do the fix on my RX. It has NOT currently got the soldered joint as per the picture.

Some people have not done it as they have had no problems. However it is advisable. "strongly recommend for all ChainLinkdare users,which will solve the issues mentioned above,  even if you don't have any issues, we still recommend this for safety."

I just wanted to make sure the information was out there for all to see.
