Hmmm 100mW, not as powerfull as other UHF systems at 300 / 600mW.

I dont think it would be any more effective than 2.4ghz?!?!

May get corrected though....... as I am sure that the wave length will carry further / therefore more range.

433MHz is not legal in the UK for model control, however 459MHz is legal, so you may be able to programme it within the stated range of 400-460MHz.

433MHz is only legal for model to operator telemetry.

Certainly a great deal compared to the other options.  Taking the easy route of sitting back for a few months and seeing what people do with it, and how great it turns out.

This seems to be a direct copy of the Flytron stuff and runs the same firmware so all the hard work has already been done.

Thundead made the 459MHz version and it was tested to over 3km.  I've been using it on my quads for a year or more.  It works well.

It is a clone of Flytron's hardware and the firmware on the HK page directly links to Flytron's Google code (including my early 459MHz efforts and Thundeads later code).

In reality, there is nothing underhand in this as Melih released it under GPL - however, it would be nice if HK at least acknowledged Melih and the software coders so far.

Upside is that there will probably now be more coders on board?
