Its been flying well.. still needs some pid tuning.. but getting there.. got a wee wobble on yaw.. just need some dry weather...

Got a few things still to do to it..  antenna straws being one..

Also need to move the gopro over as getting one of the props in view..

I had my eye on one of those frames - are the plates just plates or do they come with power distribution built in like some of the DJI flamewheel style quad frames?

Like the props too - waiting for the same albeit 1047 ones to come through the post that I ordered prior to Christmas.

Interesting that you still getting the props in view as that's the main reason for this type of frame, at least the reason I was looking at them.  :+

No there is no power distribution..   but I dont find that a problem..

The Rctimer Carbon props are great for the money.. I have the 1047's on my HAL frame. They are good, but the 9047's look much better and are a different design.

The reason the prop is in view is due to the position of GoPro.. which I am going to move slighly to the centre and move the FPV camera over a bit.... should be ok once thats done..

So if you moved the gopro and you had 1047 props on do you think you'd still see the props?

The Go Pro is on the wrong side relay, if you flip the frame plats over, the GoPro would be on the other side and the lens will be more central.

Have now replaced the Skywalker Quattro all in one ESC with the four SimonK Flashed F30a HK ESC's.

As I had it in bits, have relocated some bits and pieces.. GPS is now on two stand-offs above APM FC, also moved 3DR Radios to rear above battery, and video tx is now located in between the two plates.

Also moved the ultrasonic underneath.. made a small bracket up to hold it slightly recessed so it doesent get damaged.

I have also swapped over top and bottom plates so that GoPro lens is now in centre (I had it the other way for my old camera)

Calibrated ESC's and had a quick flight... lot more responsive to the throttle now..
